I’ve provided a number of links to some online poetry activities that you can explore in this double lesson. I checked them all yeasterday afternoon, and the links all worked fine. 

• MAGNETIC POETRY – Just like the one you can do on your fridge at home! select a kit, then drag the magnets onto the board to create your own poetry! Name and save your poems when you’re done, so we can laugh at them share their awesomeness later…

readwritethink.org, an American site, has produced a number of student interactives that let you create various types of poems. They’re simple, and surprisingly effective. Again, save and print your examples. You can choose from:

• ACROSTIC POEMS
• DIAMANTE POEMS

Only after everyone in the class has printed out at least 2 examples of their own poems from EACH of the above sites (the best ones, not just the quickest you can do), can you play MultiPop.

This really shouldn’t happen until lesson 2.
